Annual Survey of Education Report (ASER) Pakistan 2010 in the first phase in Punjab

LAHORE, Sept 25: The South Asia Forum for Education Development (SAFED) and Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) in collaboration with its partner organisations is launching a full-fledge on ground Annual Survey of Education Report (ASER) Pakistan 2010 in the first phase in Punjab next week.
The survey will be conducted in two phases in 12 districts in Punjab, while one such survey has already been done in Lahore.
The survey aims at assessing learning outcomes of 4-16 years of age students studying in public as well as private schools in rural areas. The survey report will provide tangible data to the respective provincial and federal governments to take informed decisions and make policies that the students coming to schools should learn and progress instead of wasting time with no required outcomes.
The SAFED/ITA trainers – Akhtar Mirza, Waqas Bajwa, Raheela Akram and Saffyan Jabbar imparted training to master-trainers, who belonged to partner organisations at a three-day workshop concluded  at ITA head office here on Saturday.
